Courtside Access Scores Big for JSDD

JSDD’s inaugural summer fundraiser, Courtside Access, was a tremendous success, bringing together supporters, community members, and basketball fans for an unforgettable evening of connection, conversation, and philanthropy.

Guests began the evening in JSDD’s beautiful Heidi Gallery, where they enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and lively conversation while viewing the gallery’s current exhibit featuring artwork created by talented JSDD employees. The vibrant setting provided the perfect backdrop for guests to connect while celebrating the creativity and accomplishments of the individuals who make our community so special.

Following the reception, guests were escorted to the WAE Center Social Hall, where Linda Press, JSDD’s Executive Director, warmly welcomed everyone and thanked them for their support. The program began with an inspiring video showcasing JSDD’s mission and the life-changing services and opportunities the agency provides for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Event Co-Chair Michael Lieberman then introduced the evening’s featured guest, renowned NBA insider Brian Geltzeiler. Brian captivated the audience with engaging stories from his years covering the NBA, sharing behind-the-scenes experiences, memorable moments, and insights into the game. Guests were entertained throughout the conversation and enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions during the interactive discussion.

Courtside Access marked an exciting new chapter for JSDD’s fundraising events, providing a unique experience while raising critical funds to support the agency’s programs and services. The overwhelming enthusiasm from attendees and sponsors made the evening an extraordinary success, and JSDD is deeply grateful to our event co-chairs Michael Liberman and Lawrence Weiner, sponsors, donors, and everyone who attended and helped make this inaugural event such a memorable one.

Together, we are creating opportunities, building community, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.
