What is your first memory of JSDD?
My first memory was being in a physical therapy session with Amelia (the PT) while she was having a session with Patrick. It brought tears to my eyes just thinking how some of us take life for granted.
What has most surprised you about working with JSDD?
The relationships I’ve made with the members and staff.
What are 3 words to describe JSDD?
Inclusive, community-based, fun!
What do you wish other people knew about JSDD?
How amazing all of the members are.
When your friends/family find out that you work at JSDD, what do they say or ask?
They often ask, “how do I like the job?” I always respond by saying that I love it!
Tell me about someone who has influenced you while working with JSDD?
The members of JSDD have influenced me. Seeing their growth and accomplishments motivates me to continue giving my best every day.
What part of your job are you most excited about?
Just coming to work and engaging with the members is always exciting.
What is on your wish list for the next 5 years with JSDD?
Within the next five years, I hope to grow within the agency, take on new opportunities, develop more skills, and move into a position where I can make an even bigger impact!
Before working at JSDD, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Working at a kids’ salon.
What is your favorite thing for Lunch?
My go to is Chinese food. I love shrimp and broccoli!
What is something about you that is not on your resume?
I am a very caring and dependable person.
