JSDD proudly celebrated its 30th Anniversary during its 2026 Annual Meeting, held on June 9, 2026, bringing together board members, supporters, donors, staff, families, and community partners to reflect on three decades of growth and achievement.
Since its founding in 1996, JSDD has evolved from a vision of creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities into a thriving organization that provides residential, educational, and community-based services that enrich lives every day. Throughout the evening, attendees learned about the agency’s remarkable journey, the countless lives impacted, and the dedicated individuals whose commitment has helped shape JSDD into the organization it is today.
The program highlighted many milestones from the past 30 years, including the expansion of residential services, the growth of the WAE Center, and the development of innovative programs that promote independence, inclusion, and meaningful community engagement. A special anniversary video showcased the people, partnerships, and accomplishments that have defined JSDD’s legacy.
Looking ahead, JSDD’s leadership shared an exciting vision for the future. Plans for continued growth include expanding residential opportunities to meet the needs of an aging population and ensuring that individuals with disabilities continue to have access to high-quality programs and support for generations to come.
As JSDD embarks on its next chapter, the organization remains committed to its mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full and meaningful lives within the community. The evening served as both a celebration of 30 years of impact and a reaffirmation of the bright future that lies ahead.
With gratitude for the past and optimism for the future, JSDD looks forward to building on its legacy of excellence and continuing to make a lasting difference in the lives of those it serves.
