Residents, Families, and Staff Unite for a Special Summer Celebration

Residents, family members, and staff came together this summer for a memorable family party at one of the JSDD homes, celebrating community, connection, and fun in the sun.

Residential Manager, Tiffeny Rivers rolled out her luau-themed event after months of preparation. Starting in the spring, she carefully selected decorations and coordinated details to create a vivacious, welcoming, and festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Under sunny skies, guests enjoyed a perfect summer day, with festivities to spilling from the party room onto the beautiful roof deck. The tropical décor set the scene for a relaxing afternoon where residents, their loved ones, staff, and staff families could gather, mingle, and make new memories together.

There was no shortage of entertainment. Attendees enjoyed a variety of games, including word searches, word scrambles, pool, and a giant Connect Four game. Friendly competition and laughter filled the space, and prizes added an extra element of excitement for participants of all ages.

The brunch menu featured bagels and lox, knishes, fresh fruit, and an assortment of delicious baked goods. The spread provided the perfect complement to a summer celebration and gave guests plenty of opportunities to sit, relax, and enjoy one another’s company.

While the games, food, and beautiful weather helped make the day special, the true highlight was the sense of community that permeated throughout the day. Everyone had the opportunity to disconnect from their daily routines and connect with each other. The importance of relationships, a sense of community, and a place to call home and gather is the glue that makes life whole.

This party was a wonderful success and a reminder that the strongest communities are built through shared experiences, meaningful connections, and time spent together.
