Five WAE Center members recently enjoyed a special visit to the Maplewood Library to view an exhibit of artwork by JSDD’s Heidi Gallery Manager and Curator Jeremy Moss, displayed in the library’s community room.
Jeremy was on hand to give a firsthand talk about his artwork, sharing insights into his creative process, and answering questions from visitors. Members had the opportunity to engage in a lively question-and-answer session following the exhibit tour.
The outing also included time with JSDD Executive Director, Linda Press. During the conversation, Linda shared that she would like to try her hand at making art, even though she wasn’t quite sure how to begin. The members enthusiastically offered advice and encouragement, inviting her to join them in the studio anytime.
Before heading home, the group spent time exploring the library’s extensive art reference collection. Inspired by the books they discovered, members browsed through art volumes and even created a few sketches of their own.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity to connect with art, artists, and one another while finding inspiration in the local community.
