Summer Symbiosis Exhibit – The Creative Spark

Creativity has no boundaries. Drawing, painting, sculpting, designing, building, writing, acting, dancing, cooking; the list is endless. However, some people see creativity through a lens that presents a narrow definition. The phrases often used to describe this are ‘I can’t draw’, or ‘I can’t paint’. The counterpoint to this is that we are all creative, in some way, shape, or form.

The exhibit ‘Summer Symbiosis’, which brings together the WAE Center and Matheny Arts Access members, is a fine example of everyone having creativity within. It is a beautiful exhibition filled with artistic endeavors and determination. It is also a testament to the art facilitators whose skill is tapping that creativity within.

Disability does not exclude creativity and finding that creative spark is where magic happens.

The collaboration between Matheny and the WAE Center continues in 2025 with a truly dynamic exhibit featuring work that explores multiple mediums including: digital, three-dimensional, paper and pencil, fiber, photography, video and mixed media. We welcome friends, family and fans to visit the gallery and bring a friend or two! All works of art are for sale and all sales directly supprt both the individual artists and the organizations’ programs.
