JSDD Annual Meeting was held on June 11, 2025, bringing together board members, staff, residents, and supporters to reflect on the past year’s accomplishments and prepare for the future. The meeting was marked by gratitude, celebration, and thoughtful planning.
A highlight of the evening was the heartfelt tribute to Larry Rein, who completed his remarkable four-year term as Board President. Executive Director, Linda Press shared a moving presentation honoring Larry’s leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to JSDD’s mission. A special video, showcasing Larry’s impact and memorable moments throughout his tenure, was shown.
Ellen Goldner, Past President and Chair of the Nominating Committee reviewed the Slate of Officers and Trustees for FY 25-26 and thanked the Nominating Committee for their efforts.
Lori Solomon, the incoming President, was introduced and shared her vision for the year ahead, reinforcing the organization’s strategic priorities and her enthusiasm to serve.
During the business portion of the meeting, Treasurer Larry Chodor presented the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget, providing a comprehensive overview of each section and addressing questions.
In Linda Press, Executive Director’s annual address, she reflected on the past year’s achievements and looked ahead to continued organizational growth. She proudly announced JSDD’s newly hired Associate Executive Director, Rebecca Wanatick, recognizing this important milestone in building a strong leadership team. Linda spoke of Rebecca’s deep experience, value-driven approach and the added strength she will bring to JSDD’s future.
The Annual Meeting marked a meaningful transition for JSDD, honoring the lasting contributions of a dedicated team while confidently embracing the future with a renewed sense of purpose.
